Ring Jacket AW18 Collection - Pitti Uomo 93 Preview
Japanese tailoring has been amping its game in recent years, quickly becoming a favourite among classic menswear enthusiasts. Part of its appeal is the underlying fundamentals behind Japanese culture, one of perfectionism, uniqueness and attention to detail. One of the brands which has been consistently recognised by connoisseurs is Ring Jacket, a label with quite a solid history in Japan but fairly recent to the rest of the world.
Delivering ready to wear tailored garments of utmost quality, above many custom offerings out there, Ring Jacket is unique in the way it merges Japanese and Italian cultures to present distinctive garments. Pieces are produced with some of the finest fabrics available, making use of their experienced in-house team of artisans based in Osaka.
While the AW18 collection is not as extensive as some other tailoring brands out there, everything on display was a pure work of art. Among a subdued color palette and rich textured fabrics, a few statement pieces shone, namely the ones in corduroy, a timeless seasonal staple. The deep red sports jacket and camel belted safari were some of my personal favourites.
